Computers for E-Learning Mission

In the midst of the challenges presented by COVID-19, our community has banded together to have families stay home to protect our most vulnerable citizens. In this new set of parameters many school districts are adopting e-learning to continue student education that has otherwise been interrupted.  We recognize that many families in our community may have boundaries to access to technology essential to student learning. At EXPRESS Create Grow, we are dedicated to helping kids excel through learning while utilizing technology. While we are currently unable to hold our in person programs we are working to continue to impact our community as we are able.

Our CEO Bryant Zimmerman is also the CEO of Grand Dial Communications. He has lunched our Computers for E-Learning Mission. Our goal is to assist families in our communities with low cost computer solutions for E-learning.

We need Your Help!!

In conjunction with Grand Dial Communications we are rehabilitating old laptops for students to use that are compatible with online education programs provided by their local schools. Many schools are implementing a device loaning program for their students. However, many schools have finite resources easily made available in the wake of the pandemic's urgency; many families with multiple students are finding that they need one device per student to adequately meet their educational needs.

In an effort to come together to support all in our community, we would like to partner with you. We need donations of old laptops that we can recycle and re-home with students in need. Donated laptops have their slow mechanical drives replaced with small solid state drives breathing new life into the systems. We then load either Chromium or a light weight Linux OS on the laptops to allow students better accessibility to the tools they need. We are also taking small desktop computers in an effort to maximize the number of students we can serve. Laptops are the most ideal as they require little space, but we are willing to work with small desktop computers  as long as they comply with our minimum requirements.

We do not have the resources to repair extremely damaged systems but if you have equipment you think might work please contact us.
